Values Voter Guide - A questionnaire surveying family, culture of life, marriage and other concerns is sent to each candidate for school board, city council, and Board of Supervisors. From these responses, a voter guide is prepared and published on the VAC website, distributed in hard copy through the churches, and e-Values Voter Guide distribution through Operation: Values Matter. |
National Day of Prayer - The Values Advocacy Council with the Transformation Alliance of Santa Clara County (TASCC) organize the National Day of Prayer activities. In the morning over 100 pastors gather for a time of prayer and fellowship at the Pastor Prayer Breakfast in the Rotunda at San Jose City Hall. Pastors and ministry leaders guide the prayer. In the evening, a "Time of Prayer, Praise and Worship" is celebrated in the Plaza at San Jose City Hall. An outstanding worship team leads the musical portion joined by Pastors and ministry leaders guiding those assembled in prayer for our valley and the needs of its people. |
Operation Values Matter - Contact information for Values Families to be used solely for the Values Advocacy Council and its affiliates for purposes of communicating with interested individuals and families. Additionally, through our legislative affiliate VAC Action, we electronically distribute a personalized Values Voter Guide to each Operation Values Matter registrant in each election. |
Church/Pastor Involvement - VAC sponsors Pastors Breakfasts including the National Day of Prayer-Silicon Valley Pastors Breakfast and the Pastor’s Legal Briefing for the purpose of keeping Pastors abreast of events, trends and activities that directly affect them and their congregations. The VAC leadership works with church and pastor organizations such as Transformation Alliance of Santa Clara County (TASCC), denominational groups, and para-church ministries and organizations. |
Issues of Importance- VAC keeps you up to date on "Confidential Medical Release" Policies adopted by many school boards in our Valley, status of marriage initiatives, Kid's Clubs, Mayor's Gang Task Force in San Jose, and other issues that affect families through our Ready Alerts and Chairman's Messages. |
Bi-Monthly Luncheons - VAC sponsors Bi-monthly luncheons featuring speakers such as Brian Sussman, Mayor Chuck Reed, Reverend Walter Hoye II, Karen England, Miles McPherson, and Tom Del Beccaro. |
General Fund - VAC additionally funds our media outreach, community service opportunities, and our Distinguished Speaker Series with speakers such as Joel Rosenberg as well as the day to day operation of the organization. |
