TARGETED OPPORTUNITIES
“Values Voter Guide”—A questionnaire surveying family, culture of life, marriage and other concerns is sent to each candidate for school board, city council, and Board of Supervisors. From these responses, a voter guide is prepared and published on the VAC website, distributed in hard copy through the churches, and e-Values Voter Guide distribution through Operation: Values Matter.
Project Need: Cost for printing and distribution for each election cycle is approximately $10,000.
“Operation: Values Matter”—The gathering and data entry of contact information for Values Families to be used solely for the Values Advocacy Council and its affiliates for purposes of alerting Values Families when a governmental body is contemplating an action or acts contrary to the best interests of Values parents, families, and children. Additionally, we are able to electronically distribute a personalized Values Voter Guide to each Operation Values Matter registrant in each election.
“Projected Need”—Cost for collection, entry and maintenance of data is approximately $35,000 annually.
“Advertorial Program”—Publication of ‘editorial type’ ads in the San Jose Mercury News and other local publications. Our opportunity to bring truth to the public on issues facing the community, i.e., “Say It Isn’t So!”…little known existing and proposed State laws that affect our families, the culture of life and the preservation of marriage.
Project Need: Cost for preparing and publishing an “advertorial” is approximately $5,500.
“Values Advocacy Council Newsletter”—Drafting, printing, email and “snail” mail distribution. Newsletter to be published quarterly.
Projected Need: Cost for each issue is approximately $1,200.
“Church/Pastor Involvement”—VAC sponsors Pastors Breakfasts including the National Day of Prayer-Silicon Valley Pastors Breakfast and the Pastor’s Legal Briefing for the purpose of keeping Pastors abreast of events, trends and activities that directly affect them and their congregations. We anticipate over 200 pastors coming together for prayer and fellowship at The National Day of Prayer Pastor Prayer Breakfast.
“Projected Need”—The Pastor Legal Briefing will cost approximately $750. National Day of Prayer-Silicon Valley Breakfast will cost approximately $10,000.
“General Fund”—VAC has other projects that continue to need funding including our media outreach, community service opportunities, and our Distinguished Speaker series.
Project Need”—Any “General Fund” gift will be used to finance these different projects and/or the on-going work of the Values Advocacy Council.
If you are led to send funds for one of these projects, please make your check payable to Values Advocacy Council, and indicate on your check which project you are supporting. On behalf of VAC and those who will be blessed by your gift…THANK YOU!
